Howdy,

I didn't see any training goals threads, so I figured I would post one to see what everyone has planned for their training.

For me, my training goals for 2008/9 are:

1. Compete in the gi as much as possible.
2. Win the Mundials in my divisions for 2009.
3. Improve my standing guard passes.

Any takers?

Improve all my transitional movements, get my hips moving more. Phil check out plan B from Camarillos site.

My goals are:
1. to work on earning points in tournaments rather than always look for the submission.
2. Improve sweeps and passes.
3. To expand my game and not just resort to the same moves I always do.

Joe your number one goal is like completey opposite of my problems...i score a butt load of points in tournaments but rarely submit.....i would like to submit people more often...oh well...i'll whine to myself some more...

I always find that i always am always playing guard and forget to gain points. I should probably re-phrase that goal to position before submission.

1.Get healthy and start training again. 2.Start to compete again. 3. Just improve

1. Compete and win in the gi.
2. Improve my closed guard.
3. Improve my stand-up.
4. Improve my leg lock game.

compete as much as possible as i can and improve my chokes with a tighter squeez and leg locks and win the panams in no gi.

1.) improve submissions, stop racking up millions of points against people and not submitting

2.) improve open guard, especially butterfly guard

3.) compete in at least one big tournament, probably the pan-ams

4.) improve armbar finishes.

5.) stop injuring myself

What's up guys,

I've only been training about three months ago, but so far my goals are:

1:Train atleast 5 times a week
2:Compete before next year
3:Get in the best shape I can
4:Improve my speed

me i have simple goals. 1. win the blue belt pena class at the no gi worlds next month. 2.earn my purple belt bjj. 3.get my sankyu in judo before the end of the year.

My current training goals are:

1. Improve my takedown game
2. Become more well rounded by practicing techniques on both sides equally
3. Try to compete more
4. Improve my leglock game
5. Make it to Brazil to train in the next year
