Florida State BJJ Championships- 1st place Blue Belt Pluma. (7/11/09)

Fought in the 2009 BJJ World Championship Blue Belt Pluma weight. Lost by points 4 to 6. (6/4/09)

Jax BJJ Open- 1st place Blue belt Featherweight.
2nd place No-Gi Intermediate featherweight. (lost by points 4 to 5)

Lutador Grappling (2/?/09)- finished first 2 fights by choke from the back and lost to Alliance teammate in the 3rd match by Triangle choke, Featherweight

10/01/08 Joined Alliance Tallahassee Team

N.A.G.A. Georgia (9/13/08)- 3rd place No-Gi intermediate Featherweight

8/21/08- Promoted to Blue Belt by Rob Kahn (founder of Gracie Tampa and Black belt under Royce Gracie)

I've used the "50/50 guard" which is a Sambo leg lock position a lot. Basically it is an Outside Triangle on the leg to secure the position. You can also do an Inside Triangle, which is and even more stable position, and there are a number of submissions there too.
