Alright. It's a new year. I'm not into resolutions, but I typically take this time of year to assess what I have done in the past year and see what has worked. So, taking advice from Chris and Josh, I made up my mind to get out of the house and get to training to break up the monotony of nothingness. Showed up to what I thought was the BJJ focus class--at least that's what it used to be called--or at least a BJJ class. Shows how out of the loop I am. On the way up the street I saw a few guys coming out sweaty and they said, "You going to the Judo class? Good for you. Have fun!"

I am doing absolutely nothing right now.

Folks who know me would probably say that I am a motivated individual; that I can summon focus and sometimes strength and push through tough times and other crap like that.

I teach full time 8am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.
I serve on the board of a non-profit.
I train BJJ.
I'm in grad school with hopes of defending in Dec or Jan at the latest.
I have my first child due the first week of January.
