Tip of the day! Forget about the black belt!

He is one of the best tips possible on your journey to Black Belt....

FORGET ABOUT THE BLACK BELT!

Focus on smaller improvements and always have fun training. Putting pressure on yourself will only cause stress.

If you are a white belt, focus on getting another stripe. A Brown belt? Focus on basics again... There are so many things you can zero in on to improve yourself. Keep the Black Belt as a long term goal, but short term goals are more fun and easier to attain.… Continue

Stop being impatient! It will get you tapped!

Here is my tip: Stop being impatient and become more conscious while you train!

So, the question is, "how do I do that?"

Here are three ways to become more present:

1) breathe while you train! (I am yelling at you on purpose, maybe you will hear me:)
Focus on a rhythmic breath... In through the nose and out of the mouth. Use breathing to set the pace of the match so you don't loose your cool.
