About Me (Feel free to fill this out later): I am the original and current drummer of the rock band Poison. I am a Black Belt in BJJ under Renato Magno.

I achieved my Purple belt under JJ Machado and Renato Magno at the Tarzana, CA Machado Bros. school. I was a Purple Belt for over 6 years until I finally achieved my Brown Belt. I trained privately with Renato and also did regular classes 3 times a week (minimum of 6 classes a week) I finally achieved Black Belt in December 2007 at Renato Magno's Street Sports BJJ in Santa Monica, CA. where I currently continue to train.

Holidays and diet...

Man, this is really a tough time of year for those of us who love to eat. Gotta stay focused and not overindulge. However, I'm not going to beat myself up too bad either. I'll just try to be mindful and know that when I get back to training after the holidays that I'll be a bit slower.

I'll use the fist method. Any portion I eat can't be any bigger than my fist. Lucky I have big hands!

It with great honor that I send my condolences to the Gracie family and around the world to all of us who have benefited from our involvement in the art that Grandmaster Helio Gracie created.
