Good post......and yes, Intersting fight. IMO, I see Gomi as the only real threat to BJP. Hopefully Gomi will have a smoother transition into the UFC than some of the others who have gone before him.

Very Nice! I am a big fan of dynamic and flying moves. I see lots of "lazy" guard players at tournaments...both guard pullers and guys just "falling into weak guard pull attempts. This is a nice "susprise" move to end up on top.......thanks

Yes Rolles was cut and based on his preformance he will have a hard time finding work in alot of smaller shows. That was just horrible. I hope Renzo lives up to his hype!

Hi Phil.....Im not exactally sure....Pr. Mifune passed away in 1965....and judjing by his apperance in the film, it was probally made in the late 50's to the early 60's. Did you check out his escapes at the 2:45 point. He has some sick escape moves…

Rolls son, Rolles gracie is fighting tonight on the UFC 109 undercard. Apperantely he was scheduled to fight Al Turk.....but now is facing a last minuet replacement. Any interest in this fight?

- I am a 56 yo lifelong student of the martial arts and lifetime surfer. I have Dan ranking in two styles of Okinawan Karate and one in Japaneese Jui-Jitsu. I am a Wrestling USA certified coach and and a certified fitness instructor. Although I have no rank in BJJ, I enjoy the art and its many contributions to the contempoary martial arts world. In the mid 70's after studing karate and jiu-jitsu for several years, I became interested in the work of Bruce Lee. I was particuiarly interested in his emphisis on ground fighting, and its importance in becoming a "complete fighter". My personal style of martial arts was greatly influenced by both Lee, and later by the early UFC events....and the early "Gracie in Action" vidios. I have spent the last 15 years obsessing over adapting my style to MMA.
I am still pretty active with training and do mostly Crossfit type metabolic conditioning for fitness...and I enjoy rolling when I can.....and doing lots of bag work. I enjoy mixing the varying components of "MMA" and working towards further progression in the art.
